Legal notice
Who publishes this site, who hosts it, and what you may do with its content.
Publisher
I publish this site in a personal, non-commercial capacity. I am Maël Soucaze, also known as Qiaeru, publisher and publishing director both, which is a lot of titles for one person. To reach me, head to my digital business card, which gathers my email address and my online profiles. I keep the address off this page because harvesting bots would find it before you do.
Hosting
The site runs on a virtual private server rented from Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany (hetzner.com, +49 9831 505-0). The server hums along in Germany, inside the European Union, and your requests never leave it.
Intellectual property
The texts, illustrations and logo belong to Maël Soucaze. If you want to reproduce more than a short, attributed quote, ask me in writing first. Code snippets published in articles are the exception: help yourself, that's what they're for, unless the article says otherwise.
External links
Articles sometimes link to third-party sites I have no control over, so their content binds their authors alone. Linking to a page doesn't mean I vouch for it: the internet is a big place, and I only answer for my corner of it.
Liability
I write in my own name, at a given point in time. The opinions published here commit neither my employers nor my clients, past or present, and they may change, since changing one's mind is still allowed. Despite the care I put into each article, mistakes can slip through; point them out and I'll fix them, with a grateful thought for your sharp eyes.
Credits
The site is built with Eleventy and Tailwind CSS. Body text is set in Inter and Instrument Serif, code in JetBrains Mono, and the icons come from Heroicons and Simple Icons. The whole crew is served from this domain, no middlemen involved.
